FABE BEAUREL BAMBI
Five years after arriving in France through his encounter with Thomas de Pourquery and the Supersonic ensemble, and following several years of collaboration with Laurent Bardainne & Tigre d'Eau Douce, Fabe Beaurel Bambi has forged a singular artistic path at the crossroads of African traditions and contemporary music.
Born in Pointe-Noire, Republic of the Congo, Fabe Beaurel Bambi is a percussionist, singer, songwriter and producer. A self-taught musician, he discovered music at an early age through the church choirs of his childhood, where he developed a deep sensitivity to vocal harmonies, rhythm and Congolese musical traditions. This rich heritage forms the foundation of his distinctive musical language, which has gradually expanded to embrace jazz, funk, soul, Afrobeat and Congolese rumba.
Now based in France, he has collaborated with some of the most acclaimed artists on today's creative music scene, including Gabi Hartmann, Théo Ceccaldi, Laurent Bardainne & Tigre d'Eau Douce, Tiwayo, Sonny Troupé and Thomas de Pourquery. These artistic encounters have shaped a musical universe that is free, organic and deeply spiritual, where African roots naturally engage in dialogue with contemporary sounds.

His debut album, SALA SALA (“Work, Work” in Lingala), was born between the banks of the Congo River and the Seine. Addressed to African youth while carrying a universal message, it is a call to action, perseverance and the collective effort to build a better future. Through this album, Fabe Beaurel Bambi explores themes of commitment, memory and hope, through a musical language firmly rooted in the future.
In 2023, he founded Élikia, meaning “hope” in Lingala, a project that brings together the ancestral musical traditions of the Congo with contemporary sounds. Percussion, flutes, Pygmy vocal traditions, Afro jazz, fusion and infectious grooves shape a distinctive musical language that is organic, free and deeply rooted. Each performance becomes an immersive journey where memory, spirituality, resilience and modernity come together.
