Anna Sato
Anna Sato grew up immersed in the musical traditions of the tropical island of Amami. Her unique voice brightens up ceremonies and neighborhood festivals, leading her to collaborate with prestigious artists and creators.
Her duo project with drummer Toshiyuki Sasaki breaks with tradition, blending new rhythms and taking her around the world. She has also become an actress and lends her voice to video games. Anna Sato's many talents have made her the voice of Amami today.
Two distant islands
Reunion Island, in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Amami, lost among the last volcanoes of the Japanese archipelago. Two islands linked by the cultivation of sugar cane, where the histories of workers from neighboring islands and the far corners of the world intertwine. Two islands where music liberates hours of labor and celebrates those who inhabit them, where music creates bonds.
In 2025, Lindigo Family and Anna Sato meet in the rice fields of Nanto, Japan. The performance they create together travels from island to island, from Africa to Asia, revealing the unique energy that comes from the beauty of an encounter.
