ZEID HAMDAN
In partnership with Collective kindness
Known as the “Godfather of Lebanon’s underground music scene” Zeid Hamdan is an artist, composer and producer whose career has helped reshape independent music across the Middle East. Co-founder of the legendary Soapkills with Yasmine Hamdan, he pioneered a fusion of trip-hop, dub and Arabic music, creating what the French press dubbed “Oriental trip-hop.” Their albums Cheftak (2002) and Enta Fen (2005) left a lasting mark on an entire generation.
Through Bedouin Burger, Zeid joined forces with Lynn Adib, blending electronic music, jazz and Bedouin influences while pursuing his constant drive for innovation and his unique approach to reimagining his cultural roots. His recent collaborations also include projects with singer-songwriters Maryam Saleh, Maii Waleed and Selin Sümbültepe.
In 2025, he served as musical director for the Printemps de Bourges creation paying tribute to Oum Kalthoum, bringing together several internationally renowned artists to breathe new life into this ambitious repertoire.
A visionary and multifaceted artist, Zeid Hamdan continues to push the boundaries of the Arab music scene. In 2027, he will release new music on MDLBEAST Records and bring his new live show to stages around the world.

On stage, Zeid Hamdan doesn’t simply revisit his repertoire, he blows it wide open. Backed by a band blending fiery rock, electronic textures and Middle Eastern sounds, he moves through the many chapters of his musical journey while unveiling brand-new material.
A live show that looks both back and forward: more than twenty years of creativity distilled into a new, electrifying and resolutely contemporary set.
